On August 29, a British report estimated that there are currently about 4.3 million adults in the UK smoking e-cigarettes, a record high number.
The British “Daily Mail” reported on the 28th that the smoking and health action group completed the above report based on a survey by the “public opinion” polling company. According to the survey of 13,000 British adults, the number of vapers in England, Wales and Scotland accounted for 8.3% of the adult population, a nearly four-fold increase from 1.7% a decade ago.
It is estimated that among the e-cigarette smokers in these areas, about 2.4 million people have previously smoked regular cigarettes, 1.5 million people smoke both regular cigarettes and e-cigarettes, and 350,000 people have never smoked before.
